China uses rotating caregivers between rooms so that no child becomes attached to any particular caregiver. This helps makes things efficient for the staff. Given the research of Spitz (1946), what might this be like for the infants?
◦ many would develop anaclitic depression.
◦ many would be securely attached
◦ many would imprint on whoever was in the room at the time.
◦ many would bond to each other instead of a caregiver.
