Lauren is phobic of birds. Her therapist shows her how to approach a bird in a cage. The therapist then
  takes the bird out, pets it and feeds it. She then encourages Lauren to do the same behaviors. This type of
  procedure is called

Organic mental disorders are those in which there is an identifiable underlying pathology,
such as a tumor or a stroke. As it is now generally accepted that there is a biological basis
for all disorders, this distinction is no longer necessary.
