Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

Research has revealed that worrying does have a positive effect on those with GAD. While
it does not prevent catastrophe, when those with GAD worry emotional and physiological
responses to negative stimuli are suppressed. In other words, the act of worrying about an
event lessens the impact of that event if and when it does occur.
