An explosion at an industrial plant caused a piece of metal to be shot through the skull of one of the workers who was immediately taken to the emergency room. He was in great pain, but awake and able to speak to the emergency room staff.
 
  Despite the severe nature of the injury, it is not life threatening. In fact, the injury is remarkably similar to injuries suffered by Phineas Gage. Based on this case, what would you tell the man's family about the outcome they might expect?
