Junko and her friends are young girls in grade 10 and have been raised in similar traditional Japanese families. Based on research, how might we predict Junko and her friends feel about schoolwork?
◦ They feel there's no reason to work hard because they will be discriminated against.
◦ Junko wants to work hard to keep up with her friends.
◦ Junko's friends really feel that homework and school is useless.
◦ All of the girls believe that academic success is a matter of luck.
