Answer to Question 1

a. unconscious factors can determine behavior and produce mental disorders.

Answer to Question 2

Many older people with psychological symptoms do not seek treatment because they fear that others will think they are crazy, because they lack sufficient resources (money, ability to find a therapist), or because of logistic limitations (an inability to drive to the clinician's office). In addition, most older adults seek out help from medical professionals rather than from mental health professionals. This often leads to misdiagnosis or inadequate treatment as the symptoms are attributed to the normal aging process.

Chronic necrotizing aspergillosis has a slowly progressive process that, unlike invasive aspergillosis, does not spread to other organ systems or the blood vessels. It most often affects middle-aged and elderly individuals, spreading to surrounding tissue in the lungs. The disease often does not respond to conventionally successful treatments, and requires individualized therapies in order to keep it from becoming life-threatening.
