In a study by Bozarth and Wise (1985), rats were given unrestricted access to cocaine for 30 days. What were their observations from this study?
◦ The rats used a lot of cocaine initially and then stopped using it when it started to get in the way of their eating.
◦ Eighty percent of the rats refused to use it because the effects were so negative.

◦ Ninety percent of the rats died within the 30 days due to their unending use of the cocaine.
