A nurse has a very strong personal belief that elective abortion is wrong. He is providing care to a client whose fetus has been diagnosed with a serious genetic anomaly and who is considering terminating the pregnancy. What should the nurse do?
◦ Help the client see that this is the wrong choice.
◦ Continue to care for the client as if there is no conflict of belief systems.
◦ Ask the nurse manager for an alternate client assignment.
◦ Tell the client that he cannot be a part of taking a life, so he has asked for a transfer.
