y=2xsquared + 12x - 14

y=2x^2
y = ax^2 + bx + c is the parabola
y = 2x^2+0x+0
x-coordinate of vertex is -b/2a
= -(0) / (2)(2)
= -0 / (2)(2) = 0
y coordinate of the vertex:
y = ax^2+bx+c
y = 2(0)^2+0(0)+0
0+0+0 = 0
Vertex : ( 0 , 0 )

y=2xsquared + 12x - 14
y = ax^2 + bx + c is the parabola
y = 2x^2+12x-14
x-coordinate of vertex is -b/2a
= -(12) / (2)(2)
= -12 / (2)(2) = -3
y coordinate of the vertex:
y = ax^2+bx+c
y = 2(-3)^2+12(-3)-14
18-36-14 = -32
Vertex : ( -3 , -32 )

To graph the equation, choose x=-5,-4,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4,5
evauate y=2x^2+12x-14 and graph.
