As an EMT, you will eventually be placed in a situation in which your patient presents with obvious signs of death. Even though there is nothing you can do for the patient, you may be able to help the family. How might you help manage family members with their loss?
◦ Tell them it might turn out OK.
◦ Be honest.
◦ Call them out of the room, allow the patient to pass in peace.
