What are the correct assumptions for the two-way ANOVA procedure?

The sample sizes are large (n≥ 30), and all of the (a) × (b) populations under consideration are normal.

Samples are selected randomly and independently from (a) × (b) population distributions, which are all normal and have equal variance.

Samples are random, from normal populations, and large (n≥ 30).

Population variances are known to be equal, samples are random, and sample size is sufficiently large such that the population distribution is of no consequence.

Did you know?

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
