Most victims fear being alone, strangers, or even their bedroom or car, if that is where the rape took place. Other reactions include anger, anxiety, depression, confusion, shock, disbelief, incoherence, guilt, humiliation, shame, and self-blame. Difficulties with sleeping are common, as are nightmares.
