Answer to Question 1

c

Answer to Question 2

This process, known as the sleeper effect, occurs when the source of a message
gradually loses its impact over time. Initially, people are more readily persuaded by
credible sources than by no ncredible sources, but over time, they seem to lose the
connection between the source and the message, becoming equally persuaded by both
types of sources. The sleeper effect tends to occur only when the source of the
message is introduced after the message itself and explains why a low-credibility
source (e.g., the National Enquirer) can be just as persuasive as a high-credibility
source (e.g., the New York Times) in the long run.
