Elementary school kids without a sibling generally tend to be less liked than those with siblings and to be more aggressive. Sibling rivalry is very typical, with siblings feeling a complex combination of affection, hostility, and rivalry. Siblings are most likely to have a good relationship if they each have a warm relationship with their parents and if the marriage is satisfying to both parents.
