Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: B and C

Answer to Question 2

Answer: The antibody associated with CAD is usually autoanti-I, which is an IgM antibody. In vivo, the antibody attaches in the cooler parts of the body (fingers, toes) and begins to fix complement. As the cells circulate to warmer parts of the body, the antibody dissociates from the cell, leaving only complement. Poly-specific AHG detects IgG and C3 on the RBC, which in this case is positive because of the C3 on the membrane.
