Answer to Question 1

Emotional labor may be defined as a situation in which an employee expresses organizationally desired emotions during interpersonal transactions at work. Emotional labor creates dilemmas and emotional dissonance for employees. Emotional dissonance may be explained as inconsistencies between the emotions people feel and the emotions they project. Emotional dissonance can take a heavy toll on employees, and bottled-up feelings of frustration, anger, and resentment can eventually lead to emotional exhaustion and burnout.

Answer to Question 2

E
Explanation: E) Cultural diversity does seem to be an asset for tasks that call for a variety of viewpoints. But culturally heterogeneous teams have more difficulty learning to work with each other and solving problems. The good news is that these difficulties seem to dissipate with time.
