An activity diagram provides an effective tool for modeling the logical flow of actions. An activity diagram is another view of the same scenario that the sequence diagram illustrates, but while a sequence diagram focuses on the exchange of messages between objects and object lifetimes, an activity diagram is concerned with the logical flow of activities. While a sequence diagram is basically a sequential presentation of actions, an activity diagram can efficiently portray parallel activities.
