A block diagram shows the course of an electric circuit or system of circuits and the component devices or parts. A schematic diagram shows the electrical connections and functions of a specific circuit arrangement. The schematic diagram facilitates tracing the circuit and its functions.

Answer to Question 2

Some examples might include 8 mm socket, 5/16 lug, 1-1/4 bit, 3/8 wrench, 2x4 board, etc.

Nominal sizes are used for general identification.
