Light is a form of electromagnetic energy that can have both positive and negative effects on people. With respect to health, the difference between natural and artificial light is significant. Increasing the amount of natural sunlight exposure is an important part of creating a healing environment. That said, people should consider controlling the amount of direct sunlight when working indoors by using blinds and curtains to create indirect sunlight and protect the skin and eyes.
