1. Avoid buffets and all-you-can-eat establishments.
2. Order an appetizer as your entre or main meal.
3. Split your entre with a friend or eat only half and take the other half home for another meal.
4. Order the smallest size of an item available.
5. Take your time eating so your brain will register that you are full before you overeat.
6. Focus on quality, enjoy the food, and get used to eating smaller portions.
7. Order sauces and gravies on the side and dip food into it instead of pouring it over food.
