Answer to Question 1

B
Feedback:
The nurse should teach the client how to care for a JP drain. The client should follow a low-sodium diet rather than a sodium-rich diet after the surgery. The client is permitted to lift her hand to brush her hair after the surgery. The nurse should instruct the client about postmastectomy exercises rather than Kegel exercises. Kegel exercises are done to restore the muscle tone of the urethral sphincter.
