Answer to Question 1

ANS: C
The critical items must be sterile; semi-critical items can be sterilized and/or require high-level disinfection; noncritical items come into contact with intact skin and not sterile tissue.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: T
The cuff of the left hand is grasped with the gloved right hand and pulled off inside out. The ungloved left fingers are slipped under the cuff of the right glove and it is slipped off inside out. The gloves are discarded in the appropriate trash receptacle and the hands are washed. This method prevents the clean hands from being exposed to bodily fluids and/or blood that the gloves may contain.
