Answer to Question 1

A
Because of their preparation to use a holistic approach, nurses are often best prepared to serve as case managers. With a holistic approach, the nurse case manager understands and treats the client as a bio-psychosocial-spiritual being.

Answer to Question 2

A
The most empowering response to a coworker who has a disagreement with another coworker is to listen and suggest that the coworker discuss the situation with the other nurse involved. Direct communication between the two individuals involved in the conflict would be most appropriate. Communicating effectively and assertively with another empowers the individual.
