a. Technical descriptions describe products for patents, quality control, and sales. They are often used to describe an archetype against which other products are measured and tested.
b. Patents are applications that require a detailed technical description of an invention.
c. Specifications describe a product in great detail and provide exact details.
d. Field notes are used by naturalists and other scientists to describe people, animals, and places.

Answer to Question 2

a. Write longer text messages.
b. Spell out most words and punctuate.
c. E-mail or call when its important.
d. Make sure youre doing work.
e. Dont text during meetings.
f. Dont use texting to flirt at work.
g. Remember: Texts sent with company phones are not private.
