Answer to Question 1

Night feces: Soft feces that are produced by the rabbit during the night and then eaten directly from the anus.
(acceptable) To recycle food. Specific examples include protein, Vitamins B and K.
(acceptable) Because they are hind-gut fermenters. (The student should demonstrate knowledge of what this means.)

Answer to Question 2

Put a small amount of fecal material in the litter box. Scent will attract it. (Take advantage of rabbit's natural behavior; place box where it already urinates and defecates.)
