Grazing capacity should be reduced 50 for areas 1-2 miles from water.

Answer to Question 2

Residue is important to protect soil, provide food and cover for wildlife, provide adequate forage quantity and quality for livestock, and protect the crown of forage plants from temperature extremes, insects, and damage to meristematic tissue.
