Answer to Question 1

ANS: A
The most commonly used ACE inhibitor approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for management of patients with CRF or ESRD is captopril. It blocks the conversion of angio-tensin I to angiotensin II, which reduces efferent arteriolar vasoconstriction and normalizes blood pressure.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: B
Advise the male patient not to expose a female sex partner to a crushed table of finasteride be-cause of the potential for teratogenic effects in a male fetus.
