Answer to Question 1

No. The reasoning is not correct because it assumes that the three outcomes are equally likely which they are not. The
probability will depend on the players, the coaches, whether they play at home or away and so on.

Answer to Question 2

A tree diagram begins at one starting point and then uses line segments to show the possible outcomes. Examples will
vary but might include displaying the gender outcomes for a family of 3 children or the outcomes of 4 individuals in a
race.

There can actually be a 25-hour time difference between certain locations in the world. The International Date Line passes between the islands of Samoa and American Samoa. It is not a straight line, but "zig-zags" around various island chains. Therefore, Samoa and nearby islands have one date, while American Samoa and nearby islands are one day behind. Daylight saving time is used in some islands, but not in others—further shifting the hours out of sync with natural time.
