Although the minimum velocity varies by refrigerant, pipe size, and temperature, generally accepted minimum velocities in horizontal sections of refrigerant piping are 500  750 feet per minute.

This condensate falls into a condensate pan below the coil and is removed by gravity flow to an open sanitary drain.
