Answer to Question 1

3
Rationale: The underlying risk factors for metabolic syndrome are obesity and inactivity. In numerous studies, rapid weight loss is not as sustainable as slower weight loss over time. Achieving a BMI < 25 is an appropriate goal; however, doing so in three months may not be realistic considering the client is obese to start with. The loss of 510 of the current weight over 6 to 12 months and increasing daily activity is a more realistic goal and may be perceived as more attainable by the client as well. Daily exercise for 60 minutes for an obese client with a sedentary lifestyle is not a realistic first goal.

Answer to Question 2

C
Feedback:
The breakfast consisting of oatmeal, milk, toast, and butter presents the best option for a heart-healthy meal. The other options contain extra fats and sugars that should be avoided.

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.

Your skin wrinkles if you stay in the bathtub a long time because the outermost layer of skin (which consists of dead keratin) swells when it absorbs water. It is tightly attached to the skin below it, so it compensates for the increased area by wrinkling. This happens to the hands and feet because they have the thickest layer of dead keratin cells.
