Answer to Question 1

In general, three types of torts exist: intentional torts, negligence, and strict liability.
An intentional tort is one in which the party committing the tort intends to do the act, knowing, or recklessly disregarding its consequences. Negligence is the failure to act as a reasonably prudent person would act under the same or similar circumstances. Strict liability is liability without fault.

Answer to Question 2
