These are the three most common cosmetic procedures:

The Institute of Medicine, after reviewing all available evidence, has reported that there appears to be no link between breast implants and autoimmune disease, connective tissue disorders, or cancer. Patients still face possible complications, including rupture, scarring, infection, and leaking or hardening of their implants.
Women with implants also may run the risk of being diagnosed with more advanced breast cancer and of dying of the disease because implants can make early diagnosis more difficult.
