Answer to Question 1

Visual perception of food is our first impression of a food. A food's shape, color, consistency, serving size, and defects are seen by the human eye. Often, people make decisions on what type of foods they will eat based on the way the food looks. So, what you see can determine what you eat. For example, a plate of colorful vegetables, chicken, and cobbler is more appealing than a plate of mashed potatoes, cabbage, and vanilla ice cream.

Answer to Question 2
