Phospholipids are found naturally in most foods because they are components of cell membranes (animals) and cell walls (plants). They are also used as a food additive, particularly to stabilize foods such as mayonnaise and ice cream so they don't separate. Look for lecithin or its less common name, phophatidylcholine, on the food label.
