Crying, pointing, observing others closely, listening, rehearsing sounds, using gestures, inviting others to play, using telegraphic speech, only sticking with like-speaking children, saying Hey or Lookit to get attention, sticking by teacher a lot, using stock phrases repeatedly, giving up.
