Answer to Question 1

ANSWER:
An example of a regional or social dialect and how to welcome it is to find out from the family and the child the specifics of the dialect, and accept the childs way of speaking as normal, since it is a variation of speech patterns within a language. Then, as needed, work with the child toward the goal of communicative competence so that the child can have language power in both standard English and his or her own dialect situations.

Answer to Question 2

ANSWER:
Answers will vary. Example: Ask a question or offer an idea in social play, tell about their own feelings emotionally, talk to themselves to master a physical challenge
