Answer to Question 1

Sleep difficulties include problems falling asleep, problems staying asleep, waking up too early in the morning, and feeling fatigue upon awakening (non-restorative sleep). Insomnia can result in problems such as daytime sleepiness, impaired work or school performance, and cognitive impairments such as difficulties with attention, concentration, and memory. People with insomnia also have symptoms of depression and anxiety, increased risk for medical illness, poorer immune functioning, and greater risk of automobile accidents.
