The student should assert that consequences include greater exposure to environmental toxins, poor diet, higher rates of alcohol and smoking, chronically higher levels of unemployment, loss of insurance, and depression and other mental illnesses. The student should discuss these consequences and indicate his/her (supported) opinion concerning which is the most serious.
