When checking for proper oil level of a typical manual transmission you will:
 
  a. remove the drain plug and measure the oil that drains out
 b. remove the level plug and see if it is at the bottom of the hole
 c. remove the level plug and see if it is within an inch of the bottom of the hole d. remove the dipstick and see if it's in the cross hatch area
