When customers perceive that someone is not being honest with them, they hesitate to do business with that person. When a product can meet the needs of a prospective buyer, the seller's chances of making the sale increase. Achieving goals shared by buyers and sellers increases satisfaction.

While an initial interview assesses a candidate's general qualifications, a follow-up interview usually focuses more on whether the candidate's qualifications and personality are a suitable match for the position and the organization.
