Answer to Question 1

The Big Five are part of the work-related aspects of personality. Conscientiousness is a dimension that ranges from careful, thorough, responsible, organized, etc., to irresponsible, disorganized, etc. Extroversion is the dimension that ranges from sociable, talkative, assertive, active, to retiring, sober, reserved, and cautious. Agreeableness is a dimension that ranges from good-natured, gentle, cooperative, forgiving, and hopeful, to irritable, ruthless, suspicious, etc. Neuroticism is a dimension that ranges from anxious, depressed, angry, emotionally insecure, etc., to calm, enthusiastic, poised, and secure. Openness to experience is a dimension that ranges from imaginative, sensitive, intellectual, and polished, to down-to-earth, insensitive, narrow, crude, and simple. Many researchers believe these five dimensions are foundational to personality, and there does seem to be a correlation between them and job success.

Answer to Question 2

Bounded rationality is the idea that the rationality of organizational members is limited by their cognitive or mental abilities. March and Simon's model assumes that bounded rationality is a fact of organizational life.

The dogs detected 54 of the 55 lung cancer patients as having cancer, detected 28 of the 31 breast cancer patients, and gave only three false-positive results (detecting cancer in people who didn't have it).
