Answer to Question 1

Answer: Pro-abortion arguments include factual information such as:
Most abortions are performed when the embryo or fetus is not capable of sustaining life independently, and is therefore not murder.
If made unavailable, women would seek unprofessional means of aborting and this would result in cases of permanent infertility, disease, and death.
Physical and emotional harm can be done when unwanted pregnancies are carried to term to both the woman and the unwanted child.
Even if the rate of unwanted pregnancies was brought down by use of contraception, unwanted pregnancies would still occur and people should not be forced to carry to term.
Arguments against abortion include:
Abortion is murder because life begins at conception.
Performing abortion violates medical ethics which declare that healthcare providers promote and preserve life.
An abortion exposes girls and women to physical and psychological harm.
Women who have unwanted children should give them up for adoption.
Abortion should not be used as a form of birth control.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: FAM includes several techniques, all of which require the woman to monitor the changes that occur in her body during her monthly ovulatory and menstrual cycles. The methods include monitoring via a calendar, by observing the cervical mucus, and by recording body temperature.
