Answer to Question 1

- Determinism: The view that every event, including human actions is brought about by previous events in accordance with universal causal laws that govern the world; human freedom is an illusion.
- Hard determinists believe that every behavior can be traced to a cause, although they may disagree about what those causes are.
- Compatibilism (also called soft determinism): The view that all events, including human actions, are caused. But human actions can only be considered free if they are the result of internal motivations, not the product of external influences or constraints.

Chronic necrotizing aspergillosis has a slowly progressive process that, unlike invasive aspergillosis, does not spread to other organ systems or the blood vessels. It most often affects middle-aged and elderly individuals, spreading to surrounding tissue in the lungs. The disease often does not respond to conventionally successful treatments, and requires individualized therapies in order to keep it from becoming life-threatening.
