Answer to Question 1

D

Answer to Question 2

C
Feedback:
Appendicitis is an acute infection of the vermiform appendix. Abdominal pain begins in the periumbilical area and localizes in the right lower quadrant. Fever, nausea, and vomiting are commonly present. Without treatment, the infection progresses rapidly, causing perforation and peritonitis owing to the gastrointestinal bacteria. Pericarditis is inflammation of the sac around the heart. If the appendix ruptures, the client receives IV antibiotics.
