What is a sign of respiratory difficulty in a reptile?

Answer to Question 1

The absence of a regular breathing pattern. A reptile may take a few breaths then not breathe for a few moments. Breathing occurs in short episodes.

Answer to Question 2

Gaping, or open-mouthed breathing.
