Hay nets should not be used for animals that have chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases.
This is often called heaves in horses.

Answer to Question 2

White salt blocks do not contain iodine or trace minerals. Blocks containing trace minerals
(these are typically red or brown) are preferable.
