Answer to Question 1

A newborn foal should be fed every 30 to 40 minutes. (Normal foals will nurse the dam seven
times per hour.) Foals 1 month and older should be fed a minimum of four times per day. As a
general rule, the foal should consume 1 ounce of milk for every 10 pounds of body weight per
hour.

The right ear is reserved for Brucellosis vaccination tattooing.
