Answer to Question 1

 Reciprocating  uses pistons in a cylinder. Gas is compressed by squeezing it between the piston and a valve plate at the top of the cylinder.

 Rotary  uses a roller that rotates in an orbital motion within a cylinder. Gas is compressed by squeezing it between the roller and a spring-loaded vane.

 Screw  uses two rotating screws shaped like augers. Gas is compressed by squeezing it between the two screws

 Centrifugal - has a very high-speed centrifugal impeller that spins within a housing. The gas enters the impeller in the center and is thrown outwards by centrifugal force, compressing the gas.

 Scroll - has a stationary scroll and an orbiting scroll that moves within the stationary scroll. Gas is compressed by squeezing it between the two scrolls.

Answer to Question 2

18 = 0.75 x required height so 18 divided by 0.75 = required height = 24 feet ABOVE connector entrance
