Answer to Question 1

When more than one event delays a project it is said to have been delayed by concurrent delays (James, 1990). It is difficult to determine which delays are concurrent delays and if the owner and the contractor are not able to determine the affects of concurrent delays legal proceedings might be required to resolve the issue.
