JudaismJerusalem is the location of Solomon's Temple on the Temple Mount and is believed to be the location of the holy of the holies. Jewish people believe that the Messiah will return to Jerusalem.

ChristianityJerusal em is where Jesus was crucified by the Romans.

IslamJerusalem is where Mohammed ascended to Heaven. A mosque called the Dome of the Rock was built on that location, which is the same place that Solomon had built the Jewish temple.
